Black Ruby Barb –

This beautiful aquatic species are community fish originating from Mountain streams in Sri Lanka. They should be kept in groups, and they’re suitable for community aquariums with other peaceful fish.

These fish are omnivores meaning they will consume normal fish food and live foods.

The male Ruby Barb is larger and brighter in color than females. The fins of males are much darker in colour as opposed to females. The females tend to have bigger bodies.

We also stock close relatives to the species including; Cherry Barb and the Green Tiger Barb – Available in store.

 These fish can reach an optimum size of 6.5 cm
