WHAT IS DIMETHICONE? – It’s a type of silicone-based molecule that has been used for many years in a large number of health and beauty products for humans such as hair products, skin care and even lice control products for children.

HOW DOES IT CONTROL FLEAS & TICKS? –

• Dimethicone acts as a ‘stick trap’ that cover the parasite and immobilises it, like a very thin layer of “glue”.
• It mechanically stops the parasite from moving from host to host, breaking the parasite cycle: adult fleas, larvae, eggs and ticks.
• Consequently, with the parasite immobilised, it’s easier to get rid of them when the pet grooms itself or when it’s brushed by the pets’ owner.

Dimethicone, used for many years in human cosmetics products, such as skin products and hair care products, for daily use.

It has a mechanical effect on the flea & tick, acting on the surface of the pets’ skin. Due to this mechanical way of action, it’s very unlikely any resistance will be formed.

Stopping the larvae from developing into the adult fleas, thus breaking the flea cycle.
