Use Habistat Basking Spot Lamp, Screw to create a basking area of high, localised heat.
A reptile basking light will surely provide an intense beam of light and heat which the animal can quickly warm itself. Designed to concentrate the heat in a small local area and not designed to heat the whole vivarium.
The lamp wattage should also be chosen to match the appropriately rated holder, the size of cage, type of animal being heated and the temperature required.
You should always use a Dimming thermostat to control the temperature.
