Supa recommend that you clean your bird feeders on a regular basis. Recommended by the RSPB that you clean and wash your feeders regularly using a 5% disinfectant solution.
Instructions: You should dis-assemble the feeder if possible and then get rid of as much food and debris as you can first.
Wash and scrub the feeder thoroughly using the brush, paying a great deal of attention to surfaces where food and water gather.
Thoroughly rinse with clean water.
Clean the feeders outdoors and make sure you wear gloves and wash hands thoroughly afterwards.
