The Who, What and Why of our Community Event!

reading time: 3 minutes

At the beginning of April, we announced our community project – HugglePets in the Community. Our goal is to use animal therapy to improve mental health and wellbeing among children & adults in our city by building Wolverhampton’s first Community Aquarium & Sensory Playroom.

We announced our fundraising on 11th April, and we have had a terrific response from the public.  On the same day, we announced the countdown to our community launch event.

The event will take place between 10 am and 3 pm on Saturday 11th May. We are using the first hour of our community launch event for those who find busy places daunting. We have called it our Quiet Hour.

The whole day is to introduce everyone to our community projects. We will be fundraising on the day – with all the money kindly given going towards our community project.

For our West Bromwich Albion fans, we have a Home 18/19 shirt to auction off on the day, signed by the first team including Dwight Gayle, Sam Field and Ahmed Hegazi! AND MORE! Keep your eyes peeled on our Facebook event page for more information. A massive thank you to our sponsors at PLANIT Global for helping us get the shirt!

We have all of the carnival classics for the day; games such as Boa Bowling, Ring Toss and Hook a Duck to name a few. All games are free to take part, and you might even win a prize afterwards!

Another game we are going to include in our community event is the HugglePets version of Bush Tucker Trials. With 4 boxes of mystery items, you are given the task of getting the stars out of the box to be in the chance of winning a prize!

We are also holding our own treasure hunt for families! You will be given clues around our store, and when all the clues are found, you will win a prize!

We hope to see you all there, there is a Facebook event that you can register your interest below!
