An extremely palatable, complete, premium food. The pellets are low in dust to avoid damaging the sensitive respiratory tract of rats.

The Beaphar CARE+® Small Animal Range uses an extruded, all-in-one formulation to ensure each food pellet contains the same composition and prevent selective feeding. This means no food is wasted and everything is eaten.

Beaphar CARE+® is hardened to support the natural wearing of the teeth, thus reducing the risk of dental problems.

The recipe combines a balanced ratio of quality animal proteins, vegetables and zero added sugars to ensure it is perfectly adapted to meet a rat’s nutritional requirements. In addition, Beaphar CARE+® Rat contains antioxidants such as Vitamin E, Omega 3 and 6, green tea extract and spirulina to support the immune system, prebiotics MOS and FOS to support healthy gut flora, and Yucca schidigera extract to reduce the smell of pets’ faeces.

How to use: When changing your rat onto a new food it is important to do this gradually. Over a few days mix some old food in with Beaphar CARE+® Rat to avoid causing any intestinal disturbance.

The daily amount of Beaphar CARE+® Rat to give is dependent upon the size and weight of your rat. The below information is a guide, so you may need to adjust the feeding amounts to suit your rat’s requirements.

• Rats weighing 200–500g: Feed 11–22g of Beaphar CARE+® Rat per day
• Rats weighing 500–800g: Feed 22–32g of Beaphar CARE+® Rat per day

Rats are mainly nocturnal, so it is recommended to feed them at night as this is their most active period. Always have fresh drinking water available and replace food daily.
